For anyone researching an older templating setup, the model suffix matters. A later system with a similar name may use different hardware or software. The original LT-55 should therefore have its own record rather than borrowing specifications from an XL, XLW, or LT-2D3D page.

When retaining old job files, save the software version, file type, and available export information with them. A filename by itself does not explain which program produced the geometry or which annotations another employee relied on.

Evaluate the receiving process

If archived files are needed for a new project, use a controlled review process before treating them as current production information. Confirm the customer request and present conditions independently. An old drawing can be useful historical evidence while still being incomplete for new work.
