Veronafiere's September 29, 2023 account reported more than 51,000 total attendances at the 57th Marmomac, about 10% above the prior edition. International visitors represented 66% of the total. The report also described increased participation from the Americas, including the United States, Canada and Brazil.
Those figures provide a snapshot of a highly international industry meeting. They are the organizer's measures and should not be treated as a count of purchasing contracts, unique fabrication businesses or completed equipment sales.
Why international reach can be useful locally
A small fabrication business does not need to import containers itself to benefit from a wider supplier conversation. Learning how different producers describe a material, finish or application can help an owner ask more precise questions of an existing distributor.
The useful output is a better purchasing brief: a named material, a documented finish, an intended application and a contact who can address supply and technical questions. Ask how samples relate to the material that would actually be supplied, and keep the answer with the project record.
Marmomac's international reach is a positive part of this story. The lasting opportunity for a shop is to turn that breadth into a few well-documented relationships instead of collecting a large pile of business cards with no next step.
