Park JAVELIN: combining blade and waterjet work in one production cell

Park Industries describes JAVELIN as a CNC sawjet combining a saw blade with a five-axis waterjet. Its current product page lists single- and two-table configurations, a 27 hp arbor motor and a 144 by 88 inch maximum slab size in the displayed two-table specification.

The manufacturer also describes mitering capability, several table and camera options, and an upgrade path from one table to two. These are product-documentation claims; the exact configuration should be established in the supplier's proposal.

Discuss the whole production cell

The useful buying conversation extends beyond the cutting head. Ask how slabs reach the table, where finished parts move next and which information the operator needs before starting a job. Include the people responsible for programming, maintenance and material handling in the discussion.

For a demonstration, use representative work and record the full sequence. Setup, loading, program preparation and unloading all matter to a shop's process. Avoid treating one advertised cutting speed as a complete measure of daily output.

JAVELIN's combination of blade and waterjet operations is a concrete reason to investigate it for suitable work. A clear layout, defined configuration and agreed demonstration make that investigation more useful than a feature count alone.
