The VELOCITY is Park’s decorative edger. The manufacturer describes single-pass polishing for several profile families and a program library for repeatable edge setups. That makes the edge offered in the showroom an important part of the production record, rather than a detail that can remain in a salesperson’s notes.
Give every offered profile an identity
Assign the showroom sample a clear internal name or code. Keep a reference image and the relevant production documentation with that entry. When a customer selects a profile, transfer the same identity to the quote, approved drawing and finishing instructions.
If a material or thickness changes after the sale, have the responsible production person review the edge selection again. Similar profile names can conceal differences in appearance. A finished sample is useful for establishing the intended result before a full job reaches the finishing station.
Evaluate the work you actually sell
Use common profiles and a more demanding example during a machine demonstration. Discuss tooling, changeovers, acceptable finish and the work remaining after the pass. Keep manufacturer settings and procedures in the official documentation, with trained personnel responsible for operation. The planning benefit is a consistent connection from the edge a customer approves to the part the installer receives. Without that connection, an efficient machine can still produce the wrong version of the job.
