The International Surface Event ran January 31–February 2, 2023, in Las Vegas. In its February 24 report, TISE said attendance increased 67% from the 2022 edition and described an exhibit hall with almost 600 companies. These are the organizer's figures, rather than independently audited counts from this publication.
The same report highlighted the Natural Stone Pavilion and quoted the Natural Stone Institute describing nearly 60 material suppliers. It also pointed to recorded main-stage sessions, product interviews and demonstrations through the TISE Live Virtual Event. The recording access arrangements described there applied to 2023; they should not be treated as a current registration offer.
A useful record of the industry's return
The combination of material suppliers, equipment exhibitors and training matters because a countertop job crosses all three. A new material can change tooling questions; a new machine can change the information required before a job reaches production.
A good retrospective therefore records more than the headcount. It asks what kinds of conversations were brought together and which published resources remain useful afterward. For a shop revisiting a product first encountered in 2023, keep the original brochure with its date and compare it with a current specification sheet. That creates a clear record of what has changed without assuming the old demonstration described today's configuration.
