Informa's February 3, 2025 closing release reported more than 700 brands from 25 countries at TISE. Its list included Park Industries, BIESSE/GMM, Cambria, Northwood Machine, Vermont Quarries and other suppliers spanning equipment and materials.
One specific addition was the Natural Stone Specialty Program. The release describes education for stone professionals and a behind-the-scenes visit to Las Vegas Rock's quarry and processing operation. It also records the first What's Hot – Best of tise awards, more than 80 sessions, and demonstrations delivered with industry associations including the SFA and Natural Stone Institute.
Following stone beyond the sample rack
The quarry and processing component is particularly relevant to a fabrication business. A showroom sample is only one part of a material's story. Understanding how a supplier describes extraction, processing and selection gives an owner better questions to carry into later purchasing discussions.
That does not mean assuming every product presented at an expo fits every application. A useful follow-up file keeps the material identity, intended use, available documentation and unanswered questions together. Give the person handling the next customer conversation access to that file.
The 2025 program deserves attention for linking product discovery with a broader view of the supply chain. It offered several routes into the same conversation: the material, the equipment that processes it and the people who understand its use.
