Vicostone at IDS Toronto 2025: presenting a material through a setting

Vicostone Canada’s report described a mountain-inspired exhibition and a collection tailored to the Canadian market.
Vicostone’s February 2025 account of IDS Toronto described a four-day exhibition held January 23–26. Its Canadian team used a display inspired by the country’s mountain ranges, pairing a landscape reference with an urban setting.
The company identified Nuvolato, Lacus and Esmeralda among the engineered surfaces visitors could explore. Its report specifically described the Canadian market, which is a useful reminder that a brand’s international show coverage may not map directly to a local distributor’s selection.
A lesson for a smaller showroom
A fabrication shop does not need an exhibition budget to borrow the underlying presentation idea. Give a material some context: a cabinet finish, a piece of hardware and a believable application can explain more than a stack of unrelated samples. Keep the display focused enough that customers can describe what they like about it.
The next step is to connect that inspiration to the order. Record the exact material, finish and supplier confirmation instead of relying on a photograph of the display. When customers bring an image from an overseas or regional show, check the product identity and availability before pricing it.
The IDS report is a useful example of a supplier making surfaces easier to imagine in use. Its value for shops lies in that presentation method, rather than in assuming that every product shown was available everywhere.
